Today's 3rd waaz mubarak of Ashara Mubaraka 1424H began by explaining the link between Ibrahim nabi (a.s.) and Mohammed Rasulallah (s.a.w). Mohammed's people are Ibrahim 's people and his Shariah is based on Ibrahim nabi's
shariah.

Ibrahim nabi SA was placed in the manjaleeq - a catapult type instrument used to throw fireballs at the enemy and also to catapult humans into fire. Allah sent Jibraeel to ask Ibrahim AS if he needed anything to which he replied that he did not, not from Jibraeel and not even from Allah. Jibraeel could not understand why Ibrahim AS should reply that he needed nothing from Allah and was driven to ask him after the fire had turned to a lush garden and no harm had come to Ibrahim AS. Aqamola (tus) explained Ibrahim's answer at length - that he considered at that moment that I have been placed in the catapult, if Allah wishes to save me He will so I felt embarrassed to make any araz. If it is Allah's will that I be martyred then how can I araz that He save me and
if he wishes to save me then I have no need to do any arz.

This, then, is the prime example of "qalbe saleem" (the peaceful , submissive, accepting heart). Qalbe saleem is used as a description of Ibrahim nabi in the Quran. Islam and Saleem are connected words - a Muslim must have qalbe saleem to be truly Muslim.

Speaking on the subject of tafseer (explanation) of the Quran, Molana TUS related the zikr of Imam Jafarus Sadiq (a.s) who sent a message to Qalbi - a scholar of his time who was beginning a thesis on the Quran. The Imam AS sent the question, "Do you have complete knowledge of the Quran?" When Qalbi heard this question he lowered his head in embarrassment and answered no. He subsequently tore up his work and cast it into the sea. Only
he who has complete knowledge of the Quran can interpret it or translate it.

A human can only be born if he spends nine months in his mother's womb - anyone that claims to have been born without having been in the womb needs treatment for mental illness. Similarly; one cannot hope to enter Jannat
without first entering Dawat and giving the misaaq. A human, when he is but a cell in the womb, is a potential human - Dawat is potential jannat. From here one will go into actual Jannat.

A Mumin is connected to Allah through the Hablullahil Mamdood. This is a chain with one end in Allah's hand and the other in ours. Like electricity through a wire, spiritual power flows through  this chain - the power at one
end being the same as at the origin no matter what the distance involved.

A man will be brought - captive -on the day of Qiyamat; as a murderer. He will claim that he has taken up no spear and no sword and he will be told that yes that's true - he hasn't. But he spoke such words that as they were passed on from one to another someone was eventually killed. One should speak very carefully and with full responsibility. On the likes of Eid Mumineen say to each other, "Maaf karjo", but that is not enough. One should
specify what they had done wrong to receive the forgiveness. This is very hard - it is much easier to have not done any wrong in the first place.

Nine things are very bad - but coming from nine particular people they are a lot worse:

1. Panic or hysterics - worse from rulers
2. Miserliness - worse from the rich
3. Short temperedness - worse from the learned
4. Childishness - worse from the elderly
5. Severing of relations - worse from those at the forefront of the community
6. Untruthfulness - worse from judges
7. Continual ill health - worse from doctors
8. Foul mouth - worse from women
9. Excitability (in terms of anger) - worse from emperors.

Molana's waaz ended with the counsel of Umme Labiba to her daughter at the time of her marriage which began with he advice, "Be a slave to your husband - he will be a slave to you."

Molana TUS gave considerable counsel to women in the light of this bayaan urging women to always look out for their husband's needs; it was better for all when she did so. A woman who did not do so or sought to impose her will over her husband would only earn his anger and has only herself to blame if the husband was turning away from her.

Molana TUS recalled Imam Husain's shahadat with particular emphasis on the last moments. Jibraeel was watching Imam Husain's power and thinking that by night many thousands would have been slain when Allah , at the time of asr, sent him and the angels to offer their khidmat against the enemy. Imam Husain asked, "What is Allah's wish" and sheathed his sword as soon as Jibraeel replied that Allah's wish was that he lay down his life. Husain was
martyred on the 'millat' of Ibrahim nabi AS.

May Allah t`aala preserve our Dai to lead us upon Ibrahim, Mohammed and Imam Husain's path ta qiyamat.

Ameen
